Photo Etched Lapel Pins

Your artwork is transferred to the base metal surface from a photographic negative. Using an acid-reaction process, your design gets etched into the metal. The recessed areas are then hand filled with enamel colors, one at time. Next, the pins are fired at 450°F and cut out of the metal sheet according to the artwork design. The raised sections are polished to a mirror-like finish and a protective epoxy dome can then optionally be applied to protect the colors from fading or cracking over time.

• This pin is made of a brass material.
• The coloring is done with a soft enamel.
• The pin is 0.8mm thick, that's about half the thickness of a quarter.
• The finish of the pin is available in Gold, Antique Gold, Silver, Antique Silver, Nickel, Black Nickel, Antique Nickel, Copper, Antique Copper, Brass, or Antique Brass.
• An Epoxy Coating is available that is designed to keep your pin's design from wear.
• Many different backings available including: Butterfly (military clasp), safety pin, screw back, magnetic and more.
